Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Nazif, reviewed a report on the agricultural and real estates registration projects, in attendance of the Minister of Finance; Dr. Yousef Botrous Ghaly, Minister of Administrative Development; Dr. Ahmed Darwish, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Housing; Eng. Ahmed El-Maghraby, Minister of Justice; Mamdouh Maraiy, Secretary of Justice Ministry for Public Notary, and Head of Survey Authority and Real Estate Tax Authority as well as the Project Manager.
The government aims at documenting all Egyptian real estates and agricultural possessions using technology in documentation and giving national number for each real estate or property. This will help people dealing with such massive wealth.
In this concern, the government started preparation of two parallel projects for computerizing the agricultural lands registration from one side and the real estate from another side.
Regarding the agricultural lands registration project, Dr. Tarek presented a report on achievements accomplished as the system was applied in 19 governorates where 5.5 million documents of lands changed to digital documents. This system helped reducing time of registration certificates issuance from two days to 15 minutes, Dr. Tarek said.
Dr. Tarek stated that 27 modern offices were established and other offices are under development, and 1600 people were trained. He added that the culture of registration via companies was promoted and nine companies were established for such purpose.
Dr. Nazif called for the importance of speeding completion of the agricultural possessions registration.
Regarding the real estates registration project, Dr. Ahmed Darwish presented actions development on this project. He said that the design and implementation of programmes needed for database and work mechanism were completed. Survey has started in El-Shrouk and El-Sheikh Zaid Cities since last November, Dr. Darwish added
Dr. Nazif called for the necessity of benefiting from the accumulated experience in the agricultural registration project to help pushing forward this project. We shall focus on the new urban communities to set a digital database on real estates, Dr. Nazif said. This shall be taken by the Survey Authority and the Public Notary, along with benefiting from real estates survey taken by the Real Estates Authority previously.
