Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Nazif, met members of the business councils as well as members of the Egyptian and Foreign Chambers of Commerce. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Communication and IT; Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Housing; Eng. Ahmed El-Maghraby, Minister of Transport; Eng. Alaa Fahmy, Minister of Education; Dr. Ahmed Zaky and Cairo Governor; Abdel Azim Wzir.
Dr. Nazif confirmed that the economic reform polices did not stop and Egypt's economic policies and strategies will not be changed. The government has taken several temporarily procedures to face impact of the global financial crisis, Dr. Nazif said and referred to the international economic forum which praised Egypt's economy within such period.
Dr. Nazif reviewed procedures taken by the government to help businessmen and investors getting out of the crisis. We will continue attracting investments through offering many projects as well as using new means of finance such as the public-private partnership PPP.
Egypt enjoys several factors which make it one of the strong economies, Dr. Nazif noted, and the government is working on this through setting legislations to help improving the business environment.
Dr, Nazif stated that the government is going on developing the educational process and is concerned with developing the technical education aiming to fulfill the labor market needs.
Regarding the health sector, Dr. Nazif said that the sector is being developed through providing primary health units in villages, developing and improving the private hospitals performance, as well as reforming the health insurance system.
Dr. Nazif confirmed the importance of women role in the society as they take various positions in all state's agencies. Dr. Nazif wished women larger role in the Egyptian society.
