Within the development plan set to develop education universities, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif held a ministerial meeting in attendance of Ministers of Administrative Development, Higher Education, and Education, as well as Head of the Education Development Fund, and Head of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
The Minister of Education reviewed main features of the plan prepared by the ministry to develop the education universities level, starting from the staff members and the plan is based on the following;
1- Preparing the appropriate environment for development.
2- Reforming the teacher preparation system namely the integrated and sequential methods.
3- Achieving a professional development among staff members through sending missions abroad to gain the skills needed.
4- Improving infrastructure in education universities through providing several labs and equipments.
5- Assisting the education universities to obtain the education quality assurance certificate.
The prime minister called for the necessity of providing the finance required in the state's budget for developing the education universities, taking into consideration the teacher performance improvement as being one of the main elements in progressing the educational process.
The meeting comes within series of ministerial meetings held by the prime minister to develop the education sector where he previously delegated the ministries of administrative development, higher education, and education to set a comprehensive plan on the education universities progress.
